Nice video, Steven. I was surprised to see Finnair charging for so many things, especially snacks and drinks on such a long flight. The lounges in HKG are awesome. I really want to get back there soon. Hope you enjoyed your European adventure!
From your video I am so unimpressed with Finnair Economy. Airline meals served in cardboard boxes are cheap and tacky, especially on longhaul flights. Look at their Premium Economy cabin in a 2‐4‐2 config. I just flew the same aircraft type with Lufthansa on a 11hr flight and their Premium Economy is in a 2‐3‐2 layout on thr A350.

Hi can we actually swap.seats if confirmed it's empty? Must we ask permission from cabin crews?
Swapping seats shouldn’t be a problem once the aircraft takes off. However, I would say it’s good to give one of the crew a heads up, especially if you have pre-ordered meals as it would be tagged to your seat.
LOL, they obviously wanted to get more money and cancelled your reservation. I book all the time with Agoda but usually to youth hostels for cheap prices here in south east asia so there is no reason to cancel my reservation.
Sorry you had such a bad experience, Steven. This is why I avoid booking with third party OTAs whenever possible. I had numerous issues with my hotel bookings on one of my international trips and found there was very little accountability for the third party vendors. Now, I book directly with the hotel whenever I can.

I paid $60 one way for this luxury coach up to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore. You can use Easybook to book this.
Twice the airfare, long journey, troublesome immigration and custom. Worth it.?
I did a quick search and the cheapest flights departing from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur will set you back about $68 right now. It is cheaper on the way back for sure. The price of this coach is definitely cheaper than flying going up to Kuala Lumpur. It can be feel long on the coach but if you look at flying, you are going to spend about 4 hours or more (1 hour at the airport, 1 hour flying, 0.5 hour immigration, 0.5 hour into town). This is taken into consider the best condition at immigration and KLIA Express/traffic which doesn't seem to happen at all. The immigration and customs part is the one I detest because you're getting down and up (a few times) on the way back to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur but not the way there so its still okay. Overall, is it worth it? For me, yes. Side note: I will try my best to avoid taking the coach on the weekends and public holidays.

It was nearly 5 hours. The bus departed at 9.30am from Golden Mile Complex. I reached TBS in KL at around 3.20pm.

Thank you Michael! I went to the Plaza Premium lounge at Changi Airport which was free with the credit card I have. Scoot onboard offering could be rather useful to kill long distance flights. I think unless it’s a really early morning flight and I went onboard with an empty stomach, or I am really hungry, I wouldn’t need anything for short flights.

How will I know if my flight is VTL? I am fully vaccinated and will be traveling to Frankfurt from Philippines with a 5hr layover in Singapore. For now, Philippines is not listed as high risk on Germany website but Singapore is.
Hello! I’m not sure with the transit regulations but when you book your flight, the eligible flights will be pegged with a “VTL” label but it only applies for flight from Germany to Singapore. I didn’t need a particular flight to Germany.

Hi there :) I don't think it's necessary to wear one as it isn't mandatory. I didn't spot many wearing one in the plane, can't remember if there were anyone wearing at the airport.

Dream Cruise is a freaking scam. We called in and was advised that rooms were running out. So we booked over the phone. Little did we know website bookings were 40% cheaper! The worst thing is they claimed to be a black friday sale over the phone. Black friday my foot, it was no sale, it was a freaking 40% price hike which their customer service person lied about running out vacancies such that she could secure 9 tickets on the phone at one go. The price they sold us over the phone was the highest we have seen throughout the entire year even up to the current low rates online. We have lodged a refund and are still made to wait for their approval to refund and apply the current rightful rate. This really made our moods tank even before our cruise trip starts.
Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I agree with the price differences and the feeling of FOMO when they (Dream Cruises) mention it’s on sale now and it’s running out. I had this happened to me twice. The first time I had to cancel and rebook which came up to be cheaper despite me paying for the penalties. The second time they refunded the differences as cruise credit. It was so annoying and frustrating for me because I had to go back and forth with them over several phone calls and emails
Forgot to mention, these promotions I have booked were over the social media pages and their website. Their follow up campaigns/promotions were cheaper than the promotion I booked for so the price differences. But it’s annoying that it’s not only once but twice. And the price differences came the very next day after I book my trips. 😩😩😩

HI i got a question, i am flying from usa to sg, I am fully vaccinated, i Will do the pre pcr test (expecting negative), buy my insurance, isolate while the wait of the results BUT i dont apply with the condition of 14 consecutive days at vtl countrys, i Will be in my country (no vtl), then 5 days at usa, i Will fly usa to sg vtl flight. My question is, they really verify at strict detail the previous 14 con days at vtl country or that maybe wouldnt be a problem for me. How they prove it or ask for that? Thanks! Flying 30nov21
Hey, speaking from experience, it's a verbal confirmation when you check-in for your flight as well as immigration on arrival here in Singapore. They aren't strict coming to check where you were if you mention you haven't been to anywhere outside of the VTL arrangements. But bare in mind, its an offence and they do send you a PDF for liability. Prior to flying, you will also have to fill up the digital arrival card where they will ask you to indicate where you have been. So you'll have to indicate accordingly.

I took advantage of the VTL to travel from the Netherlands back to Singapore! So happy with the arrangement because I have not been able to see family for almost 2 years. But travel rules and the situation keeps changing so I wonder how long this will last.
Nice video Steven. Finding a good apartment anywhere always seems to be a challenge. I hope you’re enjoying your new apartment. Can you explain what dual key means? I’m not familiar with that expression.
I'm not sure if I'm explaining it correctly but basically an apartment is being split into two and they have separate doors and keys to them. It definitely has its great advantages. You pay lesser as you're not occupying the whole apartment and you get privacy of your own. But honestly (and sadly,) the apartments I have viewed just couldn't meet my expectations.
How long did it take for your arrival swab results? Is it okay to self isolate at home while waiting for the swab test?
Hey! It took slightly less than 12 hours for me to get my results. I heard it's much shorter now. My friend got theirs after 4 hours. Yes, you can isolate at home if your household member share the same travel history as you or if you stay alone. I'm not sure if there's any change but you can always refer to SafeTravel ICA website for the most accurate information at the point of time.
How many hours to get you result of swab test on arrival?
Hey! It took me slightly under 12 hours to get my test results. I have heard from my friends that came back under the VTL arrangements recently that the process had been smoother. It took them about 4 hours to receive their results.
